This Privacy Policy describes how I Spy Productions LLC, doing business as Summit Hound ("Summit Hound," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit, use our services, or make a purchase from thesummithound.com (the "Site"), or otherwise communicate with us regarding the Site (collectively, the "Services").

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, "you" and "your" means you as the user of the Services, whether you are a customer, website visitor, or another individual whose information we have collected pursuant to this Privacy Policy.   • Dog name and sizing information submitted for personalized product orders (such as embroidered collars).

  • Personalized Orders. For personalized products such as embroidered collars, we use the dog name and sizing information you provide solely to fulfill your order.
  • Email Marketing. We use your email address and behavioral data (via Klaviyo) to send marketing communications, promotional offers, and post-purchase follow-up sequences, including cross-sell recommendations. You may opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.
  • SMS / Text Marketing. If you opt in to SMS communications, we may use your phone number (via Klaviyo or a similar platform) to send promotional text messages and order updates. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message.
  • Advertising and Retargeting. We use data collected via the Meta Pixel, Google Ads tags, and similar tools to measure ad performance and to serve targeted advertisements to you on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Google. This may include showing ads to users with similar characteristics to our customers (lookalike audiences).
  • Analytics and Site Improvement. We use tools such as Google Analytics to understand how users interact with our Site, improve our Services, and optimize the customer experience.
  • Security and Fraud Prevention. We use your information to detect, investigate, and take action against possible fraudulent, illegal, or malicious activity.
  • Legal Compliance. We may use your information to comply with applicable legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect our rights and the rights of our users.

  • Google Analytics & Google Ads Tags. Used to collect data about how visitors use our Site and to measure the performance of our Google advertising campaigns.
  • Klaviyo Tracking. Used to track email open rates, click-through behavior, and on-site activity to personalize marketing communications.

Most browsers accept cookies by default. You can choose to remove or reject cookies through your browser controls, but doing so may affect your user experience and certain features of the Site.   • With service providers who perform services on our behalf, including Shopify (e-commerce platform), Klaviyo (email and SMS marketing), Meta (advertising), Google (analytics and advertising), payment processors, and shipping and fulfillment partners.
  • With business and marketing partners to provide services and advertise to you. Our partners use your information in accordance with their own privacy notices.
  • When you direct or consent to our disclosure of certain information to third parties, such as to ship your products or through your use of social media integrations.
  • In connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations, respond to subpoenas, search warrants, or similar legal requests.
  • To enforce our Terms of Service or to protect the rights and safety of Summit Hound, our customers, or others.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own independent marketing purposes. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to provide our Services.

SECTION 6 — DATA RETENTION

How long we retain your personal information depends on the nature of the data and the purposes for which it was collected. As a general guideline:


  • Customer order and account information is retained for a minimum of 5 years to comply with tax, legal, and business record-keeping obligations.
  • Email and SMS marketing data is retained for as long as you remain subscribed. Upon unsubscribing, your contact information is suppressed but may be retained in records to honor your opt-out preferences.
  • Usage data and analytics data is typically retained for 26 months, consistent with Google Analytics default settings, unless otherwise configured.
  • Customer support communications are retained for 3 years from the date of the interaction.

We will delete or anonymize your personal information when it is no longer needed for the purposes described above, unless we are required to retain it by law.

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information. These rights are not absolute and may be subject to certain exceptions under applicable law.

  • Right to Opt Out of Marketing. You may opt out of receiving promotional emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email. You may opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP to any text message. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional communications related to your orders.
  • Right to Appeal. If we decline to process your request, you may appeal our decision by contacting us directly.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 11. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

SECTION 8 — FLORIDA RESIDENTS

If you are a resident of Florida, please note the following in connection with the Florida Digital Bill of Rights (FDBR) and other applicable Florida privacy laws:

  • We collect the categories of personal information described in Section 2 of this Privacy Policy.
  • We use that information for the purposes described in Section 3.
  • We do not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary consideration.

  • We will respond to verified consumer requests within 45 days, with a possible 45-day extension when reasonably necessary.

As Summit Hound grows, we will continue to monitor and update our practices to remain compliant with applicable Florida and federal privacy laws.

SECTION 9 — CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS

If you are a California resident, the following additional disclosures apply under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

In the past 12 months, we have collected and disclosed the following categories of personal information for business purposes:

  • Identifiers (name, email, address, IP address, device identifiers)
  • Personal information categories listed in the California Customer Records statute (name, address, payment information)
  • Commercial information (purchase history, shopping behavior)
  • Internet or network activity (browsing behavior, interaction with our Site and ads)
  • Geolocation data (approximate location based on IP address)

California residents have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. However, our use of the Meta Pixel and Google Ads tags may constitute "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. To opt out, you may use the ad preference tools described in Section 4.

SECTION 10 — INTERNATIONAL USERS

We are based in the United States and our Services are primarily directed at U.S. customers. If you access our Services from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where our servers are located and our central database is operated.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the following applies:

  • We process your personal information on the legal bases of contract performance (to fulfill your order), legitimate interests (marketing and fraud prevention), and consent where applicable.

As of the effective date of this Privacy Policy, we do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites or platforms, including social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube).
